Please Log inSince high school, art has always been something Katie and Joseph enjoyed together. The Des Moines Art Center and surrounding gardens were a place they spent time in high school, and Katie took several pottery and painting classes there growing up. They are excited to get to share one of their favorite spots in the city to welcome you to Des Moines!
Please come enjoy drinks and appetizers with us in the outdoor courtyard. The gallery will be open for you to wander through during the event!
The World Food Prize is a global nonprofit, housed in the classically beautiful former Des Moines Public Library. As an organization dedicated to recognizing achievements in reducing global hunger, the institution is one Joseph and Katie share connection. Joseph also participated in their youth programs growing up.
We are so excited to share one of the many reasons we love Iowa with our out-of-town guests. Join us for a day of fun in the sun at Lake Panorama, 45 minutes west of Des Moines. The Nelsons are hosting a day of yard games, time on the boat, and catered lunch at their home. Say you learned to (wake) surf or water ski in Iowa.
We can't wait to enjoy a fall day on the lake with you, a place we've created memories together with friends since 2009.
